During the summer several area of the Kettle River are great for canoeing as well as Christina Lake (15 min drive).
Bring your canoe and enjoy a lesurely paddle down the Kettle River (some area as during the summer water levels do drop). As well, only 15 mins away is the largest tree lined lake in Canada, Christina Lake.
While you are not required to hold a boating license with the use of your non-motorized canoe, please ensure that you have the required items within your canoe:
- Liftjackets for everyone on board
- Bailing bucket
We also suggest you bring the following:
- Cell Phone
- Camera
- Snacks
- Garage bag (so you bring back what you left with and keep our beautiful area garbage free)
